Follow In Jesus' Footsteps

On Saturday, April 4, at 3:00 PM, join us at Christ Lutheran Church for a Walk to the Cross. This is a somber and poignant way to learn about the journey Jesus made on Good Friday, beginning in the Garden of Gethsemane and concluding at Calvary. A short video will be shown to start, followed by moving to several stations to focus on individual episodes of this day. We will close with the crucifixion, where the specific details of that dreadful time will be explained. Upon completion of the walk, we will have a wooden cross available for anyone who wishes to write their personal sin and nail it to that cross.

However, remember. That awful cross is not the end of the story! Easter Sunday followed Good Friday, when Jesus rose to overthrow death. Those who attend will be invited to join us on Easter to celebrate the risen Christ!

Please note: While the entire community is welcome, the details of Jesus’ pain and suffering are grim. He endured a savage beating, a brutal walk carrying a heavy cross across town, and the most torturous of deaths. Parents might want to protect younger children from this graphic tale.
